I EDC my Gen 5 Glock 26. It is a pretty good self defense gun. It needs to be since I am betting my life on it. I have no experience with Taurus pistols so I can't help you there. Just know this, I would buy another Glock 26 before I buy my first Taurus. Joe

A man's gotta do what a man's gotta do. There are times I long for a pocket rocket also, but since I am retired, I really have no need for it. I just carry my Glock 26 as my IWB EDC. It is definitely too big to be carried in my pocket. Joe

I have the XD Mod 2 subcompacts in FDE in 9mm and .45acp. Both shoot great. The 9mm subcompact is a bigger gun than my Glock 26, but I can carry the 26 in the Mod 2 holster. Since I got the 26 and the 19X, I find that I do not carry my XD subcompacts any more. They are stashed away in the safe. Joe

I bought a new box of ammo the other day for my 642. It is a box of 38 special wadcutters. Just glancing at the rounds, there is no bullet protrusion. I have not heard of these before and have not been to the range to shoot any of them yet either. Are these just range quality rounds? Are they...

Well, the only input I can give to this discussion is that I have a 26 Gen 5 as my EDC. I love it so much that I have dropped it off to have the slide milled for a Holosun 507K green dot. I should be getting it back this week. It is a great EDC gun and I don't need/want anything else at this...

Very good gun. I have the Mod 2 version of this subcompact in both 9mm and .45acp. Both are good shooters. My Mod 2 subcompact in 9mm is longer in the grip than my Glock 26 due to it holds 13 rounds in the flush mag and 16 rounds in the extended mag. Joe

That was my thought also. For those under the tyranny of this new law, why not drive to a neighboring state and load up on ammo once or twice a year? Joe

I am good on night sights. My G26 came with night sights installed. Joe

Mine has run extremely well, but it has only seen one range trip thus far. I hope to get back to the range this week and shoot it some more, especially I need to shoot some hollow points with it. Joe
