Mike,
I'm sorry but that was too long ago to recall. Brownells sells a number of non mill cut type sights. Just order what you think will work and, if it doesn't, send it back. Brownells policy encourages you to do just that and the only cost to you is shipping.
Sorry I can't be of...
I also tested Quick shots and
they fragmented in the first gallon of water. I agree they are good for varmints and pests but I don't think they would penetrate enough to do serious damage to a person.
I performed some ballistic tests with 22lr
and found that the CCI Mini Mag was the most consistant, fastest 40gr bullet and penetrated two gallon water jugs.
An earlier poster made a comment about 22 jamming. If you use a Beretta 22, you should be ok. To date, I have put 4,325 rounds...
I am going to send my P9 slide back to Kahr for night sight installation. I need to decide whether to buy Trijicon or Meprolight.
Any suggestions?
Thanks,
I have tested several types of
Personnal Defense ammo. Some have a good deal of muzzle flip and others have too much muzzle flash. I settled on Hornady's 200 grn TAP ammo. It is more accurate than the 165-185 stuff in my gun and has more muzzle energy from the small barrel than the 230 ammo...
I agree with Old Dog, as I
have a Mil Pro 145 and find it easy to shoot 230 grain ammo. Mine actually is more accurate with the 230 grain than it is with the 185's. As far as muzzle flip, I don't notice it. My gun works so well, I have given up "game guns" and now shoot only my PT in IDPA...
I just ordered 200 rounds of the Hornady 200gn personal defense ammo. This may be a decent compromise between the 185's and the 230's.
My gun does not like 185's and groups them to the right. 230's hit spot on but have excess muzzle flip and slow velocity. When I get a chance, I will...
I shot my PT 145 Mil Pro in an IDPA match today. Even with the double action only trigger, I did very well. It grouped very well even with the 20yard shots. Today's match was one of the smaller that we have, it was only about 70 rounds. I had no failures and felt very confidant using the...
Crazyends,
1. Remove mag, lock slide back and insure clear.
2. Turn takedown lever to right until straight up and down
3. Pull out takedown lever. Sometimes levering out from frame with a little screwdriver helps.
4. If slide does not slide right off, slowly pull trigger while pushing...
I carry mine in a Don Hume IWB clip holster and find it to be very comfortable. It feels much better than my G27 ever did. I find it to be very accurate and so lite, I forget I am wearing it.
I love mine as well. Lite and easy to conceal, mine has proven very reliable. Tomorrow I am even going to shoot an IDPA course with it. If there is a drawback, it is that my gun is more accurate with 230gn ammo. This makes for a slower follow-up shot.
Regards,
I'm leaving Md for Fl on Saturday and am looking to buy 8 pounds of either Hogdon Longshot or Winchester WSF. I may stop at Greentop in Virginia but I was wondering if there are any cheaper places on the way down.
I used to go to Shyda's in Pa for primers and powder but they won't quote...
