    Humorous homemade gun posters

I have really wondered about this one. If this was not staged, I would really be interested to see what happened next...

    Bums/Panhandlers?

tell that to Elizabeth Smart... You are generally correct, but I am not pegging my, or my family's, safety on a feelgood stereotype.

U.S Marines; What would you use?

In all fairness, they also used two atomic bombs. As for me, I would go with my trusty old M16A2 - probably because it is what I spent so many years carrying and am just very comfortable with it. But then again, I was in one of those poorly trained Army Airborne Infantry units ;)

What do you get for the money? Cheap rifle?

Interesting. The best answer of course would be to keep what came with the rifle since I already own it - from other threads on this forum though, it sounded like these sorts of scopes that come prepackaged with lower cost rifles aren't worth using - won't hold their zero and are substandard in...

What do you get for the money? Cheap rifle?

I would like to spend under $250 for the scope, rings and anything else I would need. If I need to spend more than that to get equipment worth having, then I can just put off the purchase for a while.

What do you get for the money? Cheap rifle?

This afternoon I picked up a Savage 111 in 30-06. It seems like a great rifle and I am excited about hitting up the range and trying it out. Thanks all for your advise. I appreciate the input and think I wound up with a better rifle because of all the feedback.

What do you get for the money? Cheap rifle?

Yes, some quick research on this site shows no love for the Remington 770 and 710. Does the same go for the 700? Dicks is running a clearance right now - $499 for the 700 in .308 and a scope.

Yeah, I dropped my boss a note in case our firm's Internet cops were alerted. She got a good laugh out of that...

What do you get for the money? Cheap rifle?

Thanks - replies are very helpful. Unfortunately, I didn't write down what type of .308 I saw at Dicks and I don't remember what it was. I tried checking their website and learned two things: 1) Dicks doesn't have any information about rifles on their website. 2) The URL for Dick’s...

    Cheap ammo question

Great, thanks! I will order a couple of boxes of the Silver Bears then and see what happens. I would like to get into realoading, but that just isn't in the cards right now - maybe Santa will hook me up in December...

What do you get for the money? Cheap rifle?

So I was at Dick’s sporting goods a couple of weeks back and I was surprised by how inexpensive some of their rifles are. I began tossing around the idea of adding a bolt-action .308 to my collection simply because I have always wanted one, and they are selling one with a scope for about $379...

    Cheap ammo question

    * (Please pardon my possible n00b move here if I am posting in the wrong area – this really is an ammo question, not a reloading question , but I didn’t see a better place to post this) I am hoping someone can educate me on the virtues of cheap ammunition: I spent a number of years in the...
