i might add that the tikka is a great choice also.... but the REM is 550$ and if you buy the sps varmint it is 500 with a 75 dollar rebate right now...

Down here in KY it is very common to own the SPS TAC and a Bushnell elite Tac scope... People around here are crazy over shooting 6-7-800 yds with this set up... COST EFFICIENT. I personally do not own it but on more than one occasion have watched guys walk the steel out to 800 yds with this...

I have heard mention of people loading blue dot with 15 gr and a 40 gr bullet in a 223 and getting 3500 fps, is this true... I know not recomended

everybody seems to like the 69 gr bullet for 223.... with that said, what kinda velocity are we talking and how is the effective range on a coyote with that load... this is more than likely a hunting rd more so than anything else..
