Would the KG Guncote finish be a good solution to a Remington mod 870 Express finish that has several scratches ( visualize claw marks ) on one side of the receiver ? With the metal parts being that kind of matt black finish, I can't figure out what the solution is for covering them up.

I usually stay focused on a particular item, with the exception of that " hard to find item " that occasionally pops up out of nowhere. A lot of time if you pass on those its gone !

Except for my Marlin mod 39 M ( about 20 + yrs ) all of my 22 rifles are at least 40 yrs old. I think the "classics" have more appeal than some of the newer models, not necessarily better just different.

Seems like a no-brainer to me in this day and age of high ammo and fun factor. At least one pistol and a rifle should be everybody's " gotta have " arsenal.

I have a done a forum search on these but would like to know from owners, etc. how long this pistol may have been in production. Also what would be the current value on an early model. Any other information would be appreciated.
