  1. JTQ liked Plan2Live's post in the thread Hammer Fire vs Striker Fire....

Striker fired pistols have had their manual of arms reduced to the lowest user skill level. This is proven by people posting saying...

  2. JTQ liked 1KPerDay's post in the thread Sig Sauer Slide Stop.

Nope, but you might try a 224 or Legion slide stop for your 226. It makes it basically useless as a slide release but you probably won't...

  3. JTQ replied to the thread Wilson Combat 1911 magazines.

As a data point, since both Wilson and McCormick mags have been mentioned in this thread, Chip McCormick retired last year and sold his...

  4. JTQ replied to the thread Hammer fired, double stack .45 ACP?.

  6. JTQ replied to the thread Heck of a great deal on an older gun.

As are P345 mags. I don't know if they are more available, but all three P90, P97, and P345 used the same mags.

  7. JTQ replied to the thread Heck of a great deal on an older gun.

That is a good deal, and in spite of my hesitance around out of production, and no longer supported firearms, I probably also would have...

  8. JTQ replied to the thread Which 1911.

I don't have any first hand experience with the S&W 1911's, but I don't think I'd be too concerned with how they'd hold up. It may not...

  9. JTQ replied to the thread Which 1911.

  10. JTQ replied to the thread Woods carry; more critical than CCW?.

  13. JTQ replied to the thread Are expensive 1911's range toys or serious CCW guns?.

The thumb safety has nearly nothing to do with "drop-safetyness". Drop safety with the 1911 has to do with the inertial firing pin. A...

  14. JTQ liked S&W620's post in the thread Are expensive 1911's range toys or serious CCW guns?.

Those don’t read that way to me at all. To me, their point is more along the lines of if you end up needing to use that expensive gun...
