I'm right handed so I remove gun/holster and put them into my left pant leg to the inside of my calf. This position gives me access to the gun in the unlikely event I would need it and there's no chance I will forget it as it has to be removed before I can pull up my trousers.

If it takes more than 20 seconds for you to reach from anywhere in your house it's a bad spot! That's why I always keep one on my person or close at hand.
