I have been using Frog Lube on all my frogs. I have yet to have one rust or squeak. Although one or two have croaked.

That's the way mine looked three years ago. It has been absolutely perfect and defect free for that entire period and its had several thousand rounds through it. You'll grow to like it a lot.
