I have an early model Bulldog,Son of Sam era,that has a ton of ammo thru it,never an trouble out of it.it looks rough but still goes bang.don't know what more you could ask for....jwr

have my dad's Colt GI 1911 built in 1918,Augusta Arsnal rebuild,doesn't rattle when shaken,been shooting it for 50 years on and off.has never not gone bang,will group about 2in.at 25yds.no bells,no whistles,don't know what more you could want. jwr

one thing about the issue holster,it doesn't look like a holster.you could probably strap one on your hip,and most folks would think it's a case for some kind of test instrument. jwr

I have a Colt Gold Cup that the pin wasn't " staked" had a few thousand rounds thru it,never a problem.a friend borrowed it for Camp Perry one year,when it came back home I noticed the pin had been staked.I ask about it and my friend said just one of the precautions he takes.many more thousand...

as a friend of mine found out,hot rodding plated bullets WILL CAUSE LEADING.he said he thought he would never get that barrel clean. jwr

if you run a bunch of lead bullets thru a CZ 82 you can see the "twist".be warned,lead bullets in a Poly barrel are a manufactors no-no.though,I have done it without any problems. jwr

lets consider the 25 cal a close up use weapon,if you can train yourself to shoot for the face area of the BG,5 or 6 rounds in the nose eye area will also deter most BG's. on rare occasions I carry a Beretta 21A,22 cal pistol,but am always thinking if I have to shoot,shoot FACE. jwr
