I voted for the 17 only because I could vote for only one. Personally I would stick with the same caliber of a firearm that I already own. That's my OCD kicking in. If you like the way the 26 and 30 feel, then you love the way either the 17 or 21 handle. You'll gain interchangable mags too.

+1 for PSA. Their standard barrels are 4150 steel. And their cold hammer forged barrels are made by FN like he said.

I was thinking of buying a stag upper? does anyone know the markings on the barrel? keyhole cerro forge on the receiver and it shouldn't have M4 feedramps right?

Neither one has the notched hammer though, right? I want to use full auto carrier in a carbine and for that I need the rounded hammer, correct?
