I'd like to extend my thanks to OP for this post. It was a post just like this one, and the generally positive attitude toward it, that convinced me to join this community years ago.

I asked HR and they have told me I would be an Alabama resident with no address change and still paying alabama taxes. With that said my main concern is whether there is a legal way for a non resident to posess and transport ( not carry ) a handgun.

I suppose most specifically I am wondering if I could transport it safely locked away and have it in a hotel room in a safe as I conduct business in different cities for several months.

Coincidentally I had this conversation with a friend a week ago. We both agreed that a slim framed compact along the lines of a walther pps would sell great. Also a pistol caliber carbine using pistol mags (if they could keep it a bit cheaper than the cx4 storms). I would buy both tomorrow.

I'll second the breakage comment. Mine broke recently. Currently looking for a better replacement sight.
