General Disarray All CMP rifles come with a certificate of authenticity. Special grade should have the cartouche on the stock like you said. Other than that the rest of the parts should be the same manufacturer, and freshly parkerized. There are no other marks though. I have both a M1a, and...

No, I should have mentioned it is a Special. My buddy did score a very nice service grade though, and there were others to be had in pretty good condition. The ammo looks very good. I hope to shoot it this weekend.

I am very happy with it. It is a 6 digit serial # too. Jan 1942. I only bought the one can of ammo. I like to reload. I may order a couple of more for back up ammo. At .50 a round, and 24 clips it is a deal.
