Probably be just after Christmas before I get back, but I will shoot you a PM when I do. I would gladly trade for some trigger time behind your SR25. :)
Where where are the pics and range report? I ordered an OBR yesterday, was told 1-5 weeks. Would like to see some new reviews to help hold me over and pass the time.
Well, I work for the city, so probably not too much further, at least in the line of duty. You are right about the distances though, even after a year+ out here I am still amazed by how far you can see sometimes. A 50 BMG wouldn't reach far enough to hit what you see sometimes :)
Yeah, I won't...
Thanks, this is exactly what I was looking for. I appreciate everybody's standard answer of getting training, and practicing, but believe me I am doing that and equipment does not preclude training. I have more classes on my wish list than I could possibly get to next year, I was hoping to...
OK, I probably should have elabroated a little more in my original post. Yes I understand that practice and training are priority #1. I practice a little more than I can actually afford to on my own dime. In addition, I am on my department's entry team, so that combined with our other regular...

So assuming you have a defensive/fighting rifle that is completely milspec, say a BCM, what would you do to improve it for defensive/fighting purposes? What parts would you replace and what accessories would you add?
Well I certainly don't work in the firearms industry, I am a cop. When I first got into Ar's I did a little research on the net. I saw lots of debate and I wound up believing that "as good as" WAS, primarily because I found a great deal on one of the "as good as" and I wanted to believe it...
Thanks for the quick help. I am going to price it at 90 dollars for the 400 rounds. I also have some Sellier and Bellot Brass cased, boxer primed 180 grain soft points. Is a dollar per shot fair to ask on those?
Thinking about liquidating all my x54R stuff and I have some stuff I don't know how to price, because I am not sure what it is. No writing on the boxes, and the headstamp is just some small characters, not even sure if they are letters or not.
Box it comes in

I see that Palmetto State Armory has it on sale for 15 bucks for 20 rounds. Less than a dollar per round seems like a great price for 308 match, but I wonder if it is worth it.
If I only had 2K to spend on a survival armory, this is how I would start, assuming that mags and ammo are paid for separately.
AK74 in 5.45 - Since your entire armory has to be purchased for 2 grand I am gonna assume that funds for are going to be really tight too. No better bang for your...
Their site and forum have been down for weeks now, if not longer. I live in WY now and I was hoping to hit one of their courses this year. I also wanted to send the SR-25 review to a coworker of mine, and all the links to it I find on the net point to to their forum, now extinct.
Rack.
I see here another thread where a certain group has decided that since "good enough" is good enough for them, it is good enough for everyone else as well. Nevermind that others may have different needs and uses for their equipment, or use it harder or in more varied ways. If you are...
