Anyone have one of these Annealeez ?

another satisfied customer. Works great. Just take your time setting it up for each caliber. Order Templac at the same time to ensure you set the time accurately.

RCBS Chargemaster / Hornady Auto Charge Pro / Frankfort Arsenal intellidroper

I also use the CM Lite and have for the last 2 years. I make sure I let it warm up for at least 1 hour before use and that seems to keep it from drifting. I also only use it for rifle rounds. For my AR10 precision rifle it drops +/- .5 grain or so which works fine in that rifle. For my...

    Case trimmer recommendations

For my reloading I need 2; one for precision rounds and one for basic high round count calibers. I have tried a couple of different lathe style trimmers but for precision I have found the Wilson micrometer to be the most precise. I use it for my 6mm and 308 precision hand loads. I have 2 of...

    Reloading start-up

I think you will find that you will "need" more than a couple powders but it is also good to start with one caliber to learn on. For instance you said you had a .243, which is a great caliber to learn on as it doesn't use as much powder as some larger calibers and I have found it fairly...

    Reloading .300 Savage

I also love the .300 Savage and use the Hornady 150 SST Savage bullet, Hornady brass, and Varget for hunting loads. This was a very accurate load out to the limits of what I would shoot the model 99 at. I also worked up a light, fun plinking load with trail boss and MBC 135 grain Hi Tek coated...

    Hornady auto powder dispenser thoughts?

Just to through my experience with the RCBS Chargemaster lite over the past year. Found it on sale at Cabela's for a good price. My original one did not throw accurate charges, the zero floated all over the place and would not stabilize. Called RCBS customer service and they asked a couple of...

Anyone else running IMR 8208 XBR?

I found it accurate in .223 with Hornady 75 grain match. One of the better loads tested with that bullet in my rifle. Meters easily also.

    GOOD Reman Ammo?

I will 2nd that Georgia Arms is good quality reloaded or re-manufactured ammunition whichever you want to call it. I reload most of which I shoot but have shoot a few thousand of their reloads. Their Canned Heat packages are usually competitively priced and they are at a lot of the gun shows...

Never know what you’re going to find

Gunny, nice find on the Weaver K4. Those steel scopes are rock solid and they look great on vintage or classic rifles. I have a K2.5 on a 1950's Savage 99 and shoot it regularly and that old K holds zero like it was brand new. Keep cleaning and searching and entertaining us.

    First time reloading 300 Blackout

For subsonic I have had good luck with the Missouri Bullet 245 gr lead RN. I used AA1680 and with 11 gr they cycled my 16" non suppressed upper with good accuracy and right at 1060 FPS average at 10 feet. I shot them into water jugs and they did not expand and penetrated 6 of them but did...

    Fav 223 powder/bullet combo

Voted for H335 but really should split my vote. I really like H335 for smaller bullets, 55 grainers but found my gun likes XBR-8208 with the Hornady 75 gr OTM bullets. Also tried Varget as I really like that powder in most rifles but the 335 and 8208 seem to work best for me.

    Trail Boss

i also had good luck with my Lee Auto Drum although I was using it for a .300 savage rifle light plinking load so I was dumping a bit more powder. I was not too concerned with the +/- .1 or so variance with those loads. I did let the powder drop stay open a little longer than normal to get all...

Software to analyse groups/point of impact (such as Ontarget TDS)

I also downloaded the demo and have tried it. Did not get the AV warning from my McAfee software. Due to the crazy weather here I haven't shot a lot of groups to test it with yet. It did look interesting though but slightly more complicated than my OnTarget PC software which is very easy...

    Ecleticism in reloading tools...

I too have a mixed bag of reloading tools and supplies. I am more of a what is the best tool or the best value tool that will do what I need it to do. I have a mix of presses; Lee, Pacific, Dillon. Again task specific, single stage for precision rifle loads and the Square Deal or the LCT for...

    Cerakote a rifle questions

I have several both professionally done and 2 I did myself with spray on Duracoat. Surprisingly the spray one has held up well on a PPR and an AR DMR build. I have not noticed any tolerance issues but only the outer surfaces were coated and these were modern sporting type rifles which may make...
