    9mm under $400

Thanks for the suggestions guys, I'll check them out. v35, I do really like the CZ75, and I will be getting one in the near future. As far as the budget, like I said in my first post, "I get some sort of weird satisfaction using a cheap handgun that works just as well as more expensive...

    9mm under $400

I haven't shot the 19. I've shot the 17, and I have the 21. I'm just not the biggest Glock fan I guess. I'm not saying they aren't great guns, because they are...

    9mm under $400

Hey guys. So I went to my LGS a few days back, looking at their inventory. I was hoping to find a Ruger SR9E or perhaps a S&W SD9VE... They had neither, and I wound up leaving with a new Glock 19 for $455 OTD. I really don't want the Glock though, and I'll probably wind up selling it in the...

    A small email to a "gun-free" store

Personally, I would have tried to inform them of the disadvantages of a "gun-free zone" without saying you'll discontinue your business and try to get others to do the same... At least in the first email anyway. But hopefully they will consider changing their policy. Good luck.

    What Pistol For My Collection?

I'd get a Browning Hi-Power. Probably not the best choice for concealed carry however.

    Gifting Pistols

Not positive about Oregon, but when my dad gifted me my first handgun he just wrapped it up and gave it to me. No paperwork when he gave it to me. It was just as if he were giving me any other gift.

    Florida 3 Step rule?

"The simplest and most common definition of "securely encased" means it is in a holster or gun rug that is snapped, zipped, or strapped, or in a box or container with a closed lid or top so that the lid or top must be physically opened in order to use or fire the weapon. Securely encased would...

    Lethal force to defend property?

Pretty much this. You can confront someone for stealing a truck out of the driveway, but if you do wind up shooting them, I have heard instances where you would get in legal trouble for "looking for trouble". Because it is said that the person stealing your truck out of the driveway poses no...

    Sig P250

I have a P250C .40 (Gen 2). It has been 100% reliable so far. Very long trigger pull, but you get used to it. Mine came with a .357 barrel and 3 magazines. If you do get one, make sure it is the Generation 2. I heard the 1st generation had some issues.

    If you had $1200

I'd probably pick up a CZ 75b, a Bersa Thunder, and then spend the rest on ammo.

    Your Go-To "Fun" Pistol

My Ruger MKII. Only because it's the only .22 I have currently, and I have more fun knowing that I'm saving money.

Want to buy a .22 to start my kids shooting? Advice Needed...

I agree with what one person said about how kids will probably like a more modern firearm better. What I would personally do, if you have ANY doubt in your mind that either of your kids would be able to effectively listen and follow safety rules/instructions, then FIRST buy something like a...
