+1 for H335, it produces good groups, and it meters nicely.

Easiest way to clean off cosmoline?

Check out surplusrifle.com, they have plans for a 'easy bake cosmoline removal oven'. If you don't plan on doing this often, a steam cleaner works wonders on the bigger parts, and dunk little parts into boiling water, cleans it right off.

30-30 lever action vs. .357 lever action

Do a search of .357 Mag loads in the hand loading section of the site, and see what kinda velocities people are getting out of this little cartridge, I thinks it's pretty amusing...

    Drunk off-duty cop attacks woman...

If the penalty for harming or killing a law officer is harsher than it would be for doing the same to a 'regular' person, should not the penalties assessed to a law officer when breaking the law he's sworn to uphold be harsher as well? I'm certain the good ol' boys will take care of their own....

    Anti-gun gun owners

I always keep a bunch of disposable ear plugs in my range bag (mostly for when I do something boneheaded like leave my muffs at home) and usually an extra pair of safety glasses as well (just in case). I can't fault you for what you did, that guy was way out of line, but as someone else pointed...

Safe Owners: Key Pad or Combination and Why?

I've got one of each myself. The combination lock on my RSC, I figure that's enough to keep most unwanted persons out of it, I know that a professional thief can probably get into it if he's got some time. That's where I keep most of my firearms. I also have a Gun Vault next to the bed with a...

    Carbide .223 Rem dies?

FWIW I bought a carbide sizer button for my Redding .223 dies, lubing the inside of the necks always was the big pain to me, cut down the time involved a good bit. For an economical powder H335 is one of the cheaper powders at the local gunshop.

What are the gun forums with the largest memberships?

Perhaps thr.org doesn't have the largest membership, but as for being friendly and informative, I simply can't be beaten in my book. I can't tell you how many times I've wondered something and done a search for it and found the answer, and if that didn't work, simply asked someone in the...
