With one exception all of my magnum revolvers have a rubber grip and I can fire them without any discomfort compared to wood grips. A lot of wood grips bite me right at the base of the large thumb joint. Rubber grips solve the issue for me.

These days most of my 357 revolver shooting is at 25 or 50 yards on NRA slowfire targets. Back in the late 1980s I shot a few NRA silhouette matches where there were 100 yard rams. I shortly afterwards switched over to the TC Contender in 357 and 22lr.

Actually the stock Glock sights are one of the few handgun sights that I can still see reasonably well. Plus it does not take a hydraulic press to move the rear sight for windage.

Bought my Single Six new in 1999 and have fired many thousands of rounds through it and it shoot just as good now as it did 21 years ago - like EVERYONE else said about yours - Just keep shooting it!

I was kind of thinking the same. In the 25 years I have been shooting handguns I see far more 686s at the range than any K-Frame Smith. Owning several Model 66s and 686s through the years I much prefer the 686 for shooting of 357 mag ammo. For carry use I liked the 2 1/2" 66.
