Upon looking closer there are some fine machining marks where the serial #'s should be under the barrel and on the rear of the cylinder so someone definatly removed the serial #s, the bottom of the butt has too many fine rust pitts to see any machining marks. Whoever removed...
Any info on this old revolver would be appreciated.

The serial # is found on the frame behind the crane with an I located above the ser. #. The # is also found on the crane and the back side of the side...
I live in grizzly country and since they've been reintroduced in the local area( read forced down the locals throats by out of state tree huggers) I prefer to take my M1A into woods with me just in case.
Actually when in grizzly country I've been known to use a sks, a L1A1 or (currently) a M1A. Do I spray alot of rounds out hoping to hit something? No, but having encountered griz while out deer hunting I prefer the ability to throw alot of lead fast IF I need to. So far I've seen the bears...
I had the exact same problem with my AES-10B. After checking each part over and comparing it to my other ak's I found a small "hump" in the bolt carrier's groove for the bolt to "cam" in. I took a dremel and ground it down flush and now it works fine.
My wife's WASR is ultra reliable and so is my AES-10B ( romy rpk) and my romy G ak pistol. The ak design is pretty basic and reliable no matter which country it comes from.
