I've used electrolysis with good results on non-firearm rust. Another off the wall possibility would be to fill the barrel with molasses & let it set few days.

One of my granddaughter's sporting clays teammates shoots an SKB. She shoots it well & I've seen no malfunctions. It's relatively new so I assume it's Turksih.

My 12 year old Grand Daughter won Scholastic Clays State Championship with an SA-08 youth model last season. So I can recommend them too.

Gotta agree with you there & I appreciate NPR for that. I learned of The Liberal Gun Club from an NPR broadcast.

I'm not a good shot. I can hit things with my P38 better than with most of my other handguns. Like I said, I'm not a good shot.

That should buff right out. Seems there was a sort of similar incident at Ft. Bragg a few years ago. As I recall a couple of guys were off-roading on one of the ranges in their (civilian) jeep,got it stuck,weren't allowed to retreive it, & it became a target.

Coffee filters work OK too.
