Less than 24 hours ago I mentioned that I have not heard anything about being reimbursed from the EoTech law suit. Received a check today for full MSRP. So, if you have completed the correct paperwork and sent the sight in you should get what ever you told them you wanted. For me, it was just...
I sent my EoTech sight in on April 13, 2007 certified mail and a letter certified mail with all the paperwork. I haven't heard a thing yet. My sight had a completely different problem in that it developed a "ghost dot" at the 4:30 position not far from the red dot. Never could get rid of it. I...
Hanzo581 is correct. I just filed my paperwork and sent in my Eotech product. One option is to request the full MSRP. The paperwork is simple, just check the correct block(s) and fill in the blanks. They even give the info needed such as what the MSRP was in each year. Don't even need the bill...
Tried the 300BLK, subsonic & supersonic, precision hand loaded including creating own brass. If you like all that GREAT! Lots of hog hunting grounds have been closed to both .223 & 300BLK because too many get away just to waste away. Now I carry 6.5 Grendel, 6.5 Creedmoor and when I tire of...
There just doesn't seem to be much of anything on a form 1 that pertains to modifying a NFA firearm. I want to remove a 12.5 inch 300 BLK barrel from my registered and stamp paid rifle and just simply install an 18 inch 6.5 Grendel barrel.
Has anyone done a modification request? If so, please...
Has anyone used PressureTraceII or heard of it?

It is supposed to be a handloading tool which measures case pressure to help/determine optimum powder charges for precision shooting.
Thanks BSA1 for the additional input. The article I referred to was written to indicate that the fire lapping the writer used on some neglected rifle barrels netted around an 18% improvement in accuracy. It would be interesting to have a bore scope.
Just received the May 2015 American GunSmith. There's an interesting article about "Fire Lapping" and David Tubbs FinalFinish bullets. Anyone have any comments or experience using this product?
I'm not a gunsmith, just an avid reader of anything related to firearms.
Thanks, MapMan
I think Jackal1 above has the right idea about prelube and dry torque. It's what I did absent any specific info provided with the one piece mount. When I called DNZ I was told 25 in/lbs but went blank when I asked if that was a lubed torque or dry torgue. It's on and doesn't feel like it's going...
Thanks again. I called DNZ and they said 25 in/lbs and to use the supplied pattern of seating the screws and torquing they show for installation. I intend to start low and slowly increase not to exceed 25, as we do in loading a new cartridge load. I have also read about using blue locktite and...
