Thanks Guys. As always very helpful.
It was 1100 with VR Mod choke. Looked in great shape. He took $400.
Not sure what model it is or the year born.
N189XXXV...any ideas?
Probably will shoot it awhile before any changes but if I want to shoot sporting clays...should I leave as is, go with...
Kinda new to shotguns. Have a 870 at home but am interested in getting into Sporting Clays and perhaps Skeet/Trap.
I have a elderly friend who is looking to sell his Remington 1100. I don't know the specifics yet (my wife took the call). Apparently its 20-25ish years old and I know for sure...
5 shot group from 25 yards.
Of course there is a handful of upgrades that were fun to do. Can't remember what the stock version did. It was so long ago. Ammo was your basic Winchester 555. Just seems to shoot well in the gun. Go figure.
The guys got it right. You can't bring a pistol into NYS unless you are going to a Official sponsored event. NYS really stinks in this case and it recently just got a lot worse.
Agree with shot gun
If the question is 380 or 38 specials for protection and plinking then my answer is neither...not a great choice choices for either

My question is has anyone ever gone a little higher for the Berry bullet. Would love to try 4.5 gr...

Quality is good. My only issue is I got the plain Jane version and its not very pretty.
In hindsight probably would have gone with a different holster had I'd known
OK Thanks Guys
Alliant then list's the max load at 23gn for a 55 gn bullet, which puts the 10% range from 20.7-23.
Since this is a plinking load, I think I'll start at 20.5 for a 55 gn FMJBT and see how that works.
I certainly bought a lot of it...I hope it works out!!
Just came back front he local gun shop. Hoped to get a refill for H335 and H332 for my .223's. Surprise, they are all out. They had 1 5 lb Alliant reloader-10X left and on a wim I bought it.
Now I am having a hard time finding load data. I checked the Alliant site and there is some data but...
My understanding of the the new NYS laws is :
-effective immediately all mag more than 10 rounds are illegal (including pre-ban) and you have 1 year to turn them in, destroy them, or sell out of state
