I have 2 speed sixes & a service six. They are great shooting revolvers, a little heavy for carry for me, but my biggest regret has been selling a speed six about 2 years ago. Price to acquire now has gone way up.

Speed six any day of the week & twice on Sunday.

I have K9, P9 & P9 Covert. K9 is a great feeling gun, but is substantially heavier than the P9. Just shot 150 rounds with my P9 and could have kept going. The P series are great for carry. Can't lose with either one. Good luck!

I have a K9, P9 Covert & P9. P9 was just purchased used, haven't shot it yet, hope to tomorrow. As for as the K9 & Covert no trouble at all, they are sweet shooters & I trust my life to them every day. Customer service has been nothing short of excellent. They are always willing to help.

Hotpig, does the ATF give you a guideline as to how many guns you must move? The "numbers" you refer to is that new or used guns or does it matter?

I don't know of any list, but if it helps mine (serial number) is approximately 362,000 with a manufacture date of 1966.

I have poly & steel and have had no problems at all. I trust my life to them every day and would not trade them for any thing. The real problem was with the PM9, check the Kahr Forum. I believe now, they have worked out most of the problems with the PM9.

The metal clicking you hear could be your transfer bar, that was what it was on mine. From what I found out, that is completely normal. If I remember correctly my speed six does the same thing.

The dimensions are pretty much the same if not exact. Outside of the differences outlined above, the big difference for me was balance. The 228 felt comfortable and the 229 felt top heavy, not alot, but just enough to make it feel funny to me. Rent both at the range and see which one you like...

At the end of June on gunbroker.com a SP-101 in 9mm went for $393, which I believe was a deal. They just keep going up in price because there are not too many for sale.

You can also search www.rugerforum.com I have one and they are great revolvers. I have seen them go for $300 on up to over $600. Like anything else it depends on the condition and supply/demand. The 9mm is a great additon to any collection.
