Its carried IWB and while hunting as back up firearm. I live near the coast. The slide says stainless. But it's also blued.

I purchased the M&P partly due to their advertised stainless slide. I discovered rust and pitting on the slide. Has anyone experienced this? Does S&W warranty this sort of damage?

About 5pm today the shop called me and said that my background cleared. I was able to pick up my pistol today and take it home.

What kills me is the guys who duracoat a firearm and up charge the used price based upon that. To me anytime you spray paint a gun, its value drops lower then its average used value.

I read that they are going back to the drawing board on it. They are giving refunds for the pistols already out there. If I had one I would keep it. Even though its a dud, It will be a rare model 20+ years from now.
