    Less light Glock sights?

OK, I'm looking for a set of night sights for a Glock 17/22 that leaves very little light on either side of the front sight. I have a current set of Tru-Glo night sights that just leave too much wobble on either side. Maybe my eyes are getting old but too much light makes it hard for me to line...

    Hog hunter

I hope your suggestion will be something other than Remington. I have a few Savages and they have been great. I also have a CZ and a Howa which have worked very well. I'm even looking at a Sako for purchase later this year. Rem's QC, CS, and overall bad judgement along with all the poorly fit...

    I wish someone would make . . .

I can get Fed brass for $13 locally but .38 SPL costs $22, that's 41% cheaper! I can get aluminum cased or steel cased 9mm for $10, about 55% cheaper. With .38 SPL at such low pressures I can't believe I can't find .38 SPL in aluminum or steel cased ammo. What is wrong with the ammo makers? I...

    I wish someone would make . . .

Already mostly done as far as a scout"ish" Mosin with magazines in 5 and 10 rounds just ad a scout mount, here:http://www.archangelmanufacturing.com/2014/05/14/archangel-opfor-precision-rifle-stock-for-mosin-nagant-m1891-and-variants/ I've been thinking about doing this for awhile. Since this...

    AK vs Mini 14

I have both. I tell you what I've learned from my time with them. Mini-14: I like the old school M14 look. Accuracy is 1.5 MOA with most of my handloads as I have a newer version with the heavier barrel. After market magazines suck. No, they really really suck. Really. Tapco's mags do okay...

AR Barrel: Wilson Combat vs DPMS?

Posted in your other thread but here is better than both:http://www.bravocompanyusa.com/BCM-18-SPR-SS410-Barrel-Rifle-Length-Gas-Ionbond-p/bcm%20ss410%2018-8%20ib%20bk.htm The BCM is a better grade of stainless, I wouldn't put a DPMS/BUSHMASTER/REMINGTON barrel on any rifle I own. They have...

People say "spend money on barrel and bcg"

Quality BCGs aren't as expensive as most think, make sure the carrier is 8620 and the bolt is carpenter 158. Just because it's expensive doesn't always mean quality or equal specs. I have a bolt from a place many on here would consider a quality manufacturer, cost $75 for the bolt at the time...

    The Weight of Optics?

The weight is on the site for the Mark AR MOD 1 1.5-4x20mm. It is listed at the "Features/Specs". Scroll down past "model options", then "downloads", to just under where it says "Leupold Riflescope Owner’s Handbook", just click on specs. Here is the link again...

    The Weight of Optics?

This is from Nikon's site:http://www.nikonsportoptics.com/en/Nikon-Products/Riflescopes/M-223-2-8x32-BDC-600---------.html it lists it as 15.17 oz. From Leupold's site, click on specs about halfway down the page: http://www.leupold.com/hunting-shooting/scopes/hog-riflescopes/vx-hog-1-4x20mm/ It...

    The Weight of Optics?

I asked this on another forum but thought it would be nice to get as many answers as possible. This last week or so I've been helping a buddy at work look for an optic and the weights are kind of puzzling to me. We looked at tons of optics from 1-4x to 2-10x in the $200 to $350 range and the...

    Circuit Judge again

Pops loves his circuit judge. He got it after us sons got him a judge for his birthday. It is fun to shoot and has little recoil. Everybody who shoots it loves it, and it's plenty accurate to 50 yards. He always smiles when he gets it out, something that he hadn't done much since my brothers...

    3-die set versus 4-die set

Almost made a new thread, glad I looked here. My question is: I'm looking to start loading .45 acp, and I'm confused as which is better for both lead and jacketed bullets, the FCD or the Taper Die? Does the FCD work the same way that my .223 crimp die works? How does the Taper Die work? This...

    Hot Oil Bluing?

I would be doing this outside, not much to worry about there. I'm looking at heating the part then dipping in oil, not the same as hot salt bluing. I'll be using a torch or even my stove I have in the workshop. The process I'm looking at doing involves heating the part then submerging in an oil...

    Hot Oil Bluing?

I was looking at cold blue products when I came across this. I did a search but came up with cold blue and acid based bluing. The cold blue stuff has been reported to not be very wear resistant and I'd rather not screw with acids as I would have to dispose of them. I really liked the look of the...

    9mm carbine vs. pistol FPS

I'd really like to see what the Herters (CCI) TNJ 115 ball does. Without the metal jacket I wonder what kind of deformation you'd get? I recently picked some up and wonder how they would do for my back-up to my rifle for my pig culling duties on our land. I'll be watching this thread for sure. I...
