Hi,
I am new to muzzle loading and I just purchased a used .38 Caliber Pedersoli Plainsman.
I did a search online for bullets, powder, load data etc. and I really could not find much information. It is stamped "Cal. 38" on the barrel and we measured the bore and it is a .38
Can anyone...
Hi,
I received this slide and receiver from my neighbor and I am stumped as to what it is.
I thought it might be a Spanish copy of a Baby Browning but I am not completely sure because of the slide release. On the slide , it has a Spanish proof mark for pistol and "Automatic Pistol Cal 7.65"...
Hi,
I'm not a metallurgist but I'm sure one will come aboard and either agree or disagree.
I believe the reason is that the flutes originally made the cylinder stronger and able to withstand the greater pressures of the smokeless powders. With modern casting and alloys, the flutes were no...
Hi,

Brownells
Midway USA
Numrich

Hi,
You really should not put a 38 S&W through a gun chambered for .38 Special or .357 magnum
The 38 S&W is a true .38 caliber from the older designation of the bullet while the modern .38 Specials and 357 Magnums are actually .357 caliber from the newer designation on the bore.
The 38...
Hi,
I don't think the .475 will fit in a cylinder bored for .480.
It is slightly longer than the .480
However, The 480 Ruger will fit and shoot in the .475
My dream revolver would be something similar to a very beefed up Smith and Wesson Model 3. It would have a perfect blued finish with class "C" engraving. The grips would be made of Africa PauDuk and checkered. It would have a massive cylinder because it would be chambered for 5 shots of .475...
