    What buffer for .308 rifle?

As I said before, the LR-308 is just brutal on brass. This is on two different rifles and thousands of rounds through these guns. The case rim always gets beaten up, the shoulder area dings and creates a problem spot on the brass, or the neck is damaged and not worth repairing. I am using...

Ended the month on a Glock note

@Riomouse911 I pinged that company about the possibility of a G34 slide in multicam and looks like they might offer that early next year. May be a sweet setup so hopefully they come through!

Ended the month on a Glock note

That Coyote tan with desert camo is awesome! Nice Glock!

    PRS

I've been in the PRS game for quite some time (even before the PRS was born, we called it "Tactical Practical"). Super fun and you will learn your equipment, ballistics, and mental and physical conditioning if you take it seriously. There are long range clubs all over this country (I frequent...

Have you purchased anything gun related in the last three days?

A couple of LMT MARS-L lowers that I scored on an auction. New builds coming in the future!

    What buffer for .308 rifle?

And apologies, I missed the 2nd question. So from my experience, semi-auto AR10 platforms are just brutal on brass no matter what I do. I don't mix my pristine bolt action Lapua brass with my MWS brass (which uses Federal once fired manufactured ammo). I have a 6.5 Creedmoor JP LR-308 pattern...

    What buffer for .308 rifle?

Typically from 3 to 5 o'clock which is the sweet spot for me. That is with manufactured ammo BTW. My reloads can push those boundaries if I'm loading them for velocity. That help?

Designs You Would Like To Make A Comeback

I realize this isn't fully dead yet but with the way this particular handgun has passed through life, this has certainly made it unavailable to mere mortals. I like the concept and the tech. Would love to see Ruger, S&W, or Glock pick this up and design it for a manufactured gun for the masses...

    Most used holster

Most carried is the Kramer horsehide OWB holster for a Glock 19. Once those are broken in they are streamlined and comfortable!

    SureFire Micro Scout

BTW, that is the Pelican 8060. They've since upgraded it since I bought mine, looks even better! https://www.pelican.com/us/en/product/flashlights/tactical-flashlight/8060

    SureFire Micro Scout

Have a few Surefire scout lights mounted to rifles and like them a lot. Surefire quality is unquestioned. There are some manufacturers that can pump more lumens in a similar footprint, but the quality of the reflectors and the electronics tends to suffer. Surefire service and warranties are also...

    Ambi AR side charging handle?

If your friend just needs slightly easier access, the Radian Raptor is about the easiest conventions ambi charging handle out there. I prefer the all aluminum version and you can opt for the NP3 coating which reduces the friction of charging even further. Link here...

    Magnum Research Desert Eagle Fun!

I remember going to the range as a kid after the first DE in 50 A&E was released. This guy a few lanes down (an outdoor range) was shooting an absolute cannon! My buddies and I all took notice and had to saunter over to ask what the heck the thing was. The owner proudly showed his stainless...

Should I buy a lever rifle?

The answer to "Should I buy a ..." when it involves firearms is always "Yes"! I'm only half-kidding. But I will say that experimentation and exploring to find what you like and dislike is how you get to a good position in your collection and hobby. Shooting is now deeply engrained into my...

Thoughts on the Holosun 515 red dots?

Been an Aimpoint user for a long time with multiple T1s and T2s and never strayed for over a decade. I was at the range the other day and a friend introduced me to his Holosun 515. I heard they were made in China so summarily dismissed them but after giving it a hard look and messing around with...
