Yes, unlike the Glock of M&P, the CZ 100 can be dry fired without having to rack the slide. -- Mike

On a Glock, the slide must first be racked to partially compress the striker (or firing pin) spring and set the trigger before the pistol can be fired. Same with the S&W M&P line. This means that when you are pulling the trigger, you are not compressing the striker fully as it's partially...

Can't speak to the XD, but as far as the M&P is concerned, that's pure BS. Three pins hold the M&P internals in the frame. Not difficult to work on at all. -- Mike
