    Mil-Spec Parts

Gotcha. Guess I was mainly concerned about the fitment but sounds like most of it is all compatible :)

    Mil-Spec Parts

Was considering a FailZero EXO carrier group, David Tubbs buffer spring as well as extractor and ejector springs and either a Spikes t1 or t2 buffer. Thought I would weigh my original buffer and see which one of the two is closest. This is my first AR and while I don't know a lot, I've been...

    Mil-Spec Parts

Ok, thanks. I was hoping it was mainly pertaining to the butt end and the barrel of the rifle.

    Mil-Spec Parts

I know about the commercial and mil spec buffer tubes, but when it comes to other parts of an AR.....are they different? I have a commercial spec DPMS and would like to upgrade some of the parts. Carrier, spring, buffer, etc... Most of what I come across says "mil spec" and was wondering if all...

    Nickel Boron Carrier for AR-15

The Armory Channel on YouTube rebuilt an AR-15 and one of the parts was a one piece nickel boron carrier where the gas key wasn't screwed in. It sounds like he says Xo but I'm guessing it's EXO from Failzero. I checked their website but they were all two piece from what I could tell. Does anyone...

    9mm load question

I think I'll stick with 4.5 or 4.6. I don't need the fastest :) Thanks again for the help!

    9mm load question

Thanks guys...I assume the internal volume difference between a hollow base bullet and a flat base bullet wouldn't be enough to make a difference?

    9mm load question

I ran out of Berry's 115 gr. flat base and now I'm going to load 115 gr. Winchester FMJ hollow base bullets (WB9MC115). Of course, no load data is available for these so I was wondering if the load charge would change and if the OAL would change. I was using 4 grains of Titegroup with the...

    Scale Question

Just got into reloading awhile back and purchased a Hornady GS-1500 scale. Being only $30 well, you tend to get what you pay for. Needless to say, I'm looking for a new (better) scale. Lyman just came out last month with their accu-touch 2000...

    New to reloading...couple of questions

Thanks for the replies guys. I can tell I have much more reading and studying to do.

    New to reloading...couple of questions

So since most load data will just say "FMJ", what if you have a fmj with a flat base vs. one with a hollow base? :( Regarding the different powders....I should assume, then, that it is better to use a powder that will fill up the shell or case more than one that will leave more empty space...

    New to reloading...couple of questions

First question is....all other things being equal, would the load data change if the bullet was flat based vs. hollow based? Secondly...I'm trying to understand *why to use* different powders. I know they all have different burn rates, shapes, and maybe a couple of other characteristics..but...

Where to buy Dillon 550b? Sold out everywhere!

Check out Scheels. I ordered one from the Mankato, MN. location about a week ago. $14 (to Muscatine, IA) for shipping and it was here in 3 days. They have other locations throughout the midwest. I just started calling all of the stores until I found one. Good luck :)
