    "Spyderco Delica-Like" with plastic clip?

I remember owning 2-3 of the old molded plastic clip spyderco knives. As I remember, I eventually "sprung" every one of those clips and unlike the metal clips there was no way to bend them back (I still end up with "sprung" pocket clips, but the metal one's I can usually bend them back).

Is Remington still making rifles or is there a pause in production?

The local press had an article last fall about Vista buying all the equipment out of the Huntsville plant. Was Remington just making ammo there? I admit I don't know anything about the plant here, but I just assumed it was manufacturing firearms, not ammo?

    Weatherby vs standard cartridges

I've been fascinated by the mystique of Weatherby and his guns and cartridges since I first read about them. Back in the day, they were truly groundbreaking and did things no one else could match at the time. Today, with the advance of design and materials, modern high performance rifles and...

Has Covid killed the Gun & Knife Show?

For me, Knife & Gun shows killed the Knife & Gun shows. The last few I attended were a total waste of time. Limited selections, overpriced offerings, rude dealers, expensive admission. They were just not worth bothering with anymore.

Are airguns today the 22lr of previous generations?

I've had a spring piston air pistol and air rifle for years, that I use for indoor target practice. I like the convenience of being able to shoot down in my basement, instead of making a trip to the local gun shop or outdoor range. For outdoor use, unless you are dealing with a situation the...

If you were to go to war today, which knife would you take with you?

I've never been in the army, but honestly if I was actually in that situation I think I'd just bring the Swiss Army Soldier knife. The Smatchet was meant more as a joke, although I do have one in my collection and have always been fascinated by the knife and the designer, William E. Fairbairn.

How many here didn't start shooting until they were an adult?

My Dad and Mom were both "city kids" from Chicago and New York City, respectively. So, no hunters in my home, and none of my uncles hunted, either. Like the OP, the first time I shot an actual firearm was a .22 rifle at Boy Scout summer camp. As a teen, I developed an interest in guns and...

115 vs. 124 grain for 9MM defensive ammo?

I've been using 124gr my preferred bullet weight for years now. After looking at all the data and tests I could find, I just made a personal decsion that I liked the 125 gr as a good compromise between the faster 115 gr and the heavier 147 gr. Honestly, if I could not find any 124, I would not...

    CCW ammo choice- 9mm Luger

I've got a few boxes of random 9mm JHP ammo I picked up the last time ammo was hard to find, but normally my 9mm ammo of choice is either Speer Gold Dot 124gr or Federal HST 124gr.

    Victorinox Champ SOS

Looks like a nice find! I've got a number of Victorinox knives, include a Swiss Champ (although mine has the "stupid" hook!).

    Do you buy duplicates?

I think the only duplicates I have are a small collection of traditional Trapper pattern slip joints, and another of Spyderco Military knives. They were mostly picked due to different scale/handle material. At last count, I have four of the Militaries (black G-10, orange G-10, camo G-10 and...

What is the most recent knife you bought?

First time I've seen the YoJumbo! I've got both the original Yojimbo and the Yojimbo II. I cut my hand up bad on the original, when it opened up in my pocket. The blade was so sharp, I didn't even realize it at first, until I saw there was blood all over my hand! I never carried it again...

    What is your grail knife?

A lot of the early ZT knives didn't appeal to me, because I thought they looked kind of crude and clunky. Lately, though, I've been eyeing up the Hinderer or Sinkevich designs as my next knife purchase. I've had my curser hovering of the "buy" button of one or the other a number of times...
