I also agree that barrel break in is hogwash. Some manufacturers put break in instructions with a rebarreled rifle because they think people expect that sort of thing. :rolleyes: Shoot it and enjoy, clean it when it gets dirty, or the groups start to open up.

+1 on the Sightron. Midway also has them on sale at the moment. They have 6-24X with 1/4"dot, or plex. The Dot reticle is $399.99, normally $418.99, the plex is $349.99, normally $378.99. P/N=430-426 for the dot, and P/N=776-273 for the plex reticle. Lifetime warranty too.

The .308 is used in 1000 yard matches all the time.

The fact that it's a .22 S,L,Lr might make it worth a little more, but I'm not positive on that. Most of those I've seen were .32 rimfire. A cartridge that's no longer readily available, to my knowledge.

I find it strange that others would try to appoint themselves the guardians of someone else's property. It's no one's business what anyone does with their own firearms, and to think it is your business is totally irrational. I'm afraid I wouldn't be very patient with someone telling me...

Like mentioned above, the bandoleers were just to resupply, or when carrying an extra ammo load going into combat. They would use the belt first as it was easier to get at, then during lulls, reload the belt from the bandoleers, and stick a few clips of ammo to the sling for very fast...

You might try here, but living in AZ, you'll come to find that anything new will often have to come from somewhere else. At least in my area(rural). 95% of my purchases are out of state because they just don't have it in AZ, or the price is so much better elsewhere, even figuring freight...
