Ebay is my go-to source for brand new-in-packaging magazines. They have the best prices from what I have found. For instance, a 3-pack of new Ruger 10/22 BX-1 10-round magazines is just under $40 including shipping. Some firearms related online vendors have them for a little cheaper, but once...
There are not too many options where I live due to population density, but I am happy with my club.
$200 adult annual renewal (first year is an extra $175)
$75 per child junior member, with an excellent coached junior program (BB / .22lr, unlimited club-provided ammo during meets)...
I have been to Walmarts in NYS that not only ask for your pistol license when buying handgun ammo, but also checked to ensure that a pistol of the specific caliber you wanted ammo for was listed on your license. This of course was before they pulled all pistol ammo from the shelves.

On Long Island, luckily we don't have to deal with delays of days and weeks as other counties' procedures apparently entail. However, we are probably higher on the cost scale than other counties. The cheapest FFL in my county that is authorized to transfer pistols charges $35. Then, you have to...

What county does your son live in? Even downstate on Long Island where I live, once you have your pistol license and have the gun sent to a transferring FFL you can pick it up right away. A few trips back and forth from the county PD and the FFL are required, but can be done within...
I would not trust Google with owned firearm data. Keep an Excel or some other spreadsheet offline and back it up using multiple thumb drives kept in different locations.
While I am hopeful that HPA passes and we advance as a nation on other pro-2A fronts, my home state of NY and I believe several other states prohibit the ownership of suppressors. I don't believe buying one will become an option for me.
