Anyone else buying off EBay ?

Ebay is my go-to source for brand new-in-packaging magazines. They have the best prices from what I have found. For instance, a 3-pack of new Ruger 10/22 BX-1 10-round magazines is just under $40 including shipping. Some firearms related online vendors have them for a little cheaper, but once...

    Gun range/Club rates

It sure is! It's even worse for those who actually live within the NYC limits as they are subject to even stricter ownership and carry restrictions.

    Gun range/Club rates

There are not too many options where I live due to population density, but I am happy with my club. $200 adult annual renewal (first year is an extra $175) $75 per child junior member, with an excellent coached junior program (BB / .22lr, unlimited club-provided ammo during meets)...

Low budget low tech target holder

@Chuck R. : I like your simple but effective design. Can you clarify how you are holding the wood up to a given height on the rebar?

    Look out hickok45

I've been watching her channel for a while, and for a 7 or 8 year old she is very well spoken as well as well mannered.

    Funny thing happened at Walmart...

I have been to Walmarts in NYS that not only ask for your pistol license when buying handgun ammo, but also checked to ensure that a pistol of the specific caliber you wanted ammo for was listed on your license. This of course was before they pulled all pistol ammo from the shelves.

    Fictional gun rooms.

My vote is for Burt Gummer's gun room in the movie Tremors.

By and large, gun cleaning products and lubes are a marketing gimmick.

I've been using WD-40 as a wipe-down rust protectant after cleaning, as I had ordered a gallon of it a while ago. Question for those using motor oil as a lubricant: Do you prefer standard or synthetic? Also, what weight oil?

Who here has received their Federal ammo rebate?

I've participated in several of the Federal rebates over the past several months, and have received all but the most recently submitted one which was about eight weeks ago. They stated an ETA of 10-12 weeks to receive my rebate, so I am not worried as of yet.

    Kudos to walmart

I'm glad to hear another Walmart in NY has begun selling firearms. There are four Walmart stores in NY State south of Albany that I can confirm do carry (long) guns: Middletown, Fishkill, Mohegan Lake, plus Middle Island (out on Long island).

Nys getting worse for gun owners

On Long Island, luckily we don't have to deal with delays of days and weeks as other counties' procedures apparently entail. However, we are probably higher on the cost scale than other counties. The cheapest FFL in my county that is authorized to transfer pistols charges $35. Then, you have to...

Nys getting worse for gun owners

jonb32248: What county does your son live in? Even downstate on Long Island where I live, once you have your pistol license and have the gun sent to a transferring FFL you can pick it up right away. A few trips back and forth from the county PD and the FFL are required, but can be done within...

Best way to inventory gun collection?

I would not trust Google with owned firearm data. Keep an Excel or some other spreadsheet offline and back it up using multiple thumb drives kept in different locations.

What Guns and Suppressors do you plan on buying if the HPA passes?

While I am hopeful that HPA passes and we advance as a nation on other pro-2A fronts, my home state of NY and I believe several other states prohibit the ownership of suppressors. I don't believe buying one will become an option for me.

John C. Gar - uh, umm.

I work with a grand nephew of of John Garand. He once told me how John pronounced his name... it had a French sound to it.
