    Commercial Remington Keene carbine

I can find little information on these firearms. Any idea of how many commercial carbines were made ? I know of the USID issued, but can't find a number of commercial carbines produced. TIA ! Btw it's in 45/70....

88 Commision: Factory Sporter or converted ?

I'm sure it was refinished and the butt pad installed here. What confused me was the stock had no slot for the sling and no signs it was filled in. No military markings and no sign of removal. Yeah, that was my ad. I was able to locate some .318 bullets and the proper brass. The 300 blackout...

88 Commision: Factory Sporter or converted ?

Does anyone know if this rifle was converted by the factory to sporter configuration or was it built originally as a sporter ? It has a .318 bore if that helps. There are no markings on the rifle except the SN, 21, which is on the barrel shroud, barrel, receiver, and other major parts. No sign...

What Should NRA Do Now ?

My two cents: NRA should take the lead in promoting common sense gun safety. Persuasion, not legislation. I'd rather see them spend my donations on commercials promoting safe handling of firearms than sponsering NASCAR races.

Vintage to Modern Scope Mount Source

I'm looking for an adapter that allows you to mount a modern scope on the older style "Unertl type" blocks. I've seen them online but can't seem to find one now. If anyone can point me in the right direction I'd appreciate it !

    I Am Considering A Mauser

Swedish M38. Excellent shooters, mild recoil. After that I'd go for a South American 7mm. Neat crests. The Swedes and German made Mausers are real works of art.

    RRA Detent ball size

Lost the detent ball on my Rock River Arms rear sight windage knob. I see Brownells offers several sizes. Anyone know what size RRA uses for the NM model ? TIA !

    M1 Garand - Questions/Concerns

If you intend to shoot in a Garand match and want to be competetive I'd post an ad at your local gun club. I've had several CMP service grade rifles that shot 8" groups at 100 yards. Others shot much better. Pretty much luck of the draw. Buying locally and having a chance to shoot it at the...

    Fair K31 price?

You can get a nice K31 for well under $300.00 if you look a bit. Gunboards.com is a great place for finding milsurps. Be advised Swiss ammo can be a bit pricey, but every Swiss rifle I've shot has been an excellent shooter. K31s and Swedish Mausers dominate the vintage military matches at Perry.
