I came across some night vision equipment from a company called Sightmark. I've never heard of them, but I haven't been looking at night vision stuff that long. Does anyone have experience with their NV products? Thanks for any replies.

I stretched it like crazy today, and got it to snap. Not easily, but I'll keep stretching. I'll try the hot water. I like to have the strap just a tiny bit loose, as it makes re-holstering and re-snapping easier.

That's right. With the hammer cocked, the snaps are within 1/8" or so of being able to be connected. With the hammer down, it's more like 1/4" +.

I replaced my well-worn Miami Classic with a new Miami Classic II. I wasn't expecting the change in the thumb break. The strap is about 1/8" too short, even when I jam the 1911 in as far as it can possibly go. I even took out the rubber bushing for the tension screw to maybe give it more travel...

I need to replace the harness on my Miami Classic. Rather than go with the standard thin straps, I'd like to go with the wider straps of the Jackass harness. However, I only see them now in suede. I don't see any in a finished brown leather. Doesn't Galco made harnesses in finished leather...

Someone did make a map of all of the mass shootings, and had the locations marked as gun-free zones or not. I remember folks saying what a clever idea it was. It wasn't all that long ago. This is driving me nuts. I just wanted to post a link to it on Facebook to drive my liberal gun-hating...

I guess I didn't make myself clear. This was a map of the US with marks at all of the media-hyped spots where there were mass shootings. The map also indicated which of them (all, or nearly all) were in gun-free zones.

I recall that a couple of years ago somebody put together a map showing mass shootings from the last 10 or 20 years, and which ones were in Victim Disarmament Zones. I've been trying to find that map on Google and Bing, but no luck. Does anyone remember this, and know where I can find it...
