I have a vortex crossfire hd 1400 rangefinder and I like it. My buddy and I compared ranging a shrub at 900ish yards according to Google maps, with his rangefinder and mine and they were only like a yard of from each other. So either they were both off the same amount or they were both pretty...
Does anyone know what height rings savage has on their package 93r17 rifles? Need to replace a set and want something the same height. I'm leaning towards a medium ring. It wears a 3-9x40

Cause I got a 20 gauge youth from my younger years but no 12. I'd like to end up with a Mossberg 930 one day but too many other priorities at the moment. I don't do a whole lot with a shotgun, no skeet, trap or bird hunting. I do a little turkey hunting and the 20 hasn't let me down yet but its...
Well went digging around and found some steel #2 and some 3 inch Kent #4 turkey loads. I know steel shot is less dense and sheds velocity faster but will there be much difference to lead 4 at 30 to 35 yards?
Been thinking about using a 20 gauge as a ride around gun for varmints on a farm. Mainly serving groundhog duty. Been using a rimfire but some of the angles I'm coming across varmints doesn't have a good backstop so I don't get to take the shot. So I was thinking a shotgun might be a better...
I thought last year was the first confirmed case of cwd in NC. And none of the cases found were in the mountains. I try to follow the cwd in NC since I hunt some in the NC mountains
Prices on the contenders/encores are keeping me away from them right now. I haven't looked too hard at all of the different manufacturers but I've been thinking about one of the cva pistols as a way to get my feet wet so to speak. They are more affordable and I know they have a good reputation...
I have never had the opportunity to use/fire single shot break action pistol. However they do intrigue me and I have been seriously considering one. If I get one I would probably use it primarily for hunting out of a stand or blind in thick wooded areas for whitetail and have been considering a...
They used to be a good buy for their single shots but here the price has doubled if they can be found.
Edit I did some looking online and they are cheaper than I see locally, but they are showing out of stock. So I'm not sure if that is an old price or reflects current pricing
My biggest gripe was pricing. I could buy a complete Henry single shot for less than a frame from t/c. And a contender barrel wasn't terribly cheap either. How does that make sense. I'd like a switch barrel single shot but I may have to settle for a complete gun in each caliber I want
