I've had a horrible time with my kel-tec 380. I guess I got an unlucky gun, although its definitely the company's fault too. It recently just got back from its 2nd trip to the factory, which was because the assembly pin spring was out of place and the pin wouldn't settle. Also, even before that...
I'm leaning towards a glock 29.. originally i was against the idea of a DAO but the trigger pull is a very manageable 5.5lbs and 1/2inch. Its also a good replacement for my taurus 605 .357, i can sell it and still feel safe if confronted with an angry bear.
so far my 10 or so black bear...
I thought I found the one for me when I bought the kel-tec P-11. It holds 12+1, looks good and can be concealed. I should have tried the trigger first.. Its a 9lb pull and i cant shoot very fast with it, even after some practice.
I like the safely of double action only, but what I'd really...
I recently bought a Kel-Tec p3-at .380 and have put about 120 rounds through it. winchester winclean was the first, and it jammed frequently. Then i got some remington hollowpoints, and they are better but a jam happens about 1 out of 15-20 shots, sometimes more often. I lubricated it well too...
Kal-tec .380
I went and bought this gun today for 250$. I shot some winclean rounds through it, and it jammed 4 times out of 45 shots :/
I guess its the clip? I'm going to have to buy some more magazines. Accuracy was fair for the size. Cute little gun.
Thanks for the suggestions guys.
Dr. J Frame- my taurus 605 is shooting great now, it was me pulling the shots. I just want an inexpensive small auto for a backup.
Something around or under 200$, small, and preferably .380 or 9mm.
i dont think i want one of those old cheap jennings but something that size.
thanks; i'm not too informed on this subject.
I have a Taurus 605 snubnose and I am not happy with its accuracy, but its probably the ammo.
I have shot Remington .357 125gn JHP's out of it so far and they always shoot far left.
I wonder what ammo I should try next in .357?
I don't want to shoot .38 special through it; I want to...
There's a gun store close here (in PA) that has all their guns below the MSRP(?) list prices. I am not mistaken.
The 605 also comes with a concealed hammer
I've read a lot of good things about the Taurus 605 .357 mag snub. I'm going to buy one here soon. Seems like a reliable gun at a good price (around 250$ new)
I plan to purchase a Taurus 605 soon to carry for SD. I am wondering how accurate this gun would be. Could I hit someone that was shooting at me 50 feet away? That is, with practice, as I plan on getting.
Will shooting .357 mags in this baby make it more accurate than the .38 special?
