    Swiss K31 Project w pictures

If you are going to handload, make sure you get a die set specifically for the K31.

Which would you carry between a 357, 5 shot snubby, or a 9mm single stack 7 round pistol

With the great improvement in 9mm Luger in the last few years, I'd pick a small 9mm auto with 7+1 on board vs a 5 round revolver. Personally, I carry a 9mm Shield, with a S&W 340, loaded with 38 Spl, as a backup. Mike

    ladies O/U recommendation

I second Kudu. Look for an older Ruger Red Label 20ga. 26" - 28" Mike

Browning BPS Vs. 870 Wingmaster vs. something else

I bought one of my sons an engraved 12ga BPS many years ago. He absolutely loves it. It is heavier than the two older 870 Wingmasters I have - one 2 3/4 and the other 3". Since I only shoot upland game, I used the 2 3/4" nearly all the time. Clean up the BPS once in a while and you'll have an...

    rcbs uniflow locked up

I'd go with Kroil, but if the area you are using can't be ventilated well, do it outside. Otherwise the smell of the stuff will have your wife really pissed off! Mike

    Newbie seeking advice: .357 mag

May I suggest that BEFORE you get any equipment or components, that you read the 2 book's reloading sections several times.

    S&W Shield -- 9 mm or 40 cal?

Depending on your immunity/sensitivity to recoil, the 9mm with +P or +P+ (like the military NATO round) can be a handful. The 40S&W has similar recoil. With the quality of 9mm ammo these days, I personally prefer an additional round in the gun vs more power. Mike

Getting set up to process our own game.

Lots of good points and ideas. My partner(s) and I process any Elk or Pronghorn we get (used to also do deer, but we haven't hunted those for years). We use freezer plastic, freezer paper and freezer tape, and have a Sharpie handy for labeling packages. We set up a sturdy table and large...

    Metal at local scrap yard

Be careful sorting WW these days. There is a lot of steel and zinc being used. Zinc will ruin your batch. Out of a recent 50+ lb bucket, I ended up with about 5 lbs of lead.

What reloading gear is most important

Since you are already getting excellent accuracy, see if you can find this article: Guns Magazine, May 2016, article by Glen Zediker, Squeeze More Accuracy. Although he leans toward .223 more than others, the tips he suggests apply to most rounds.

What's good (and bad) about 357 Sig?

Great performance in my SIG P229. Extremely important to use a bullet designated for use in 357 SIG, and to use a bulky powder such as AA9, both to avoid setback.

    Camp food

My camping these days is in a 5th wheel camper. My partner(s) and I pre-cook many meals. Breakfast is homemade sausage gravy over already baked biscuits, or instant oatmeal and donuts/pastries, or sometimes eggs and sausage. Evening meals are e.g. mostly stew made with Elk or Pronghorn meat...

New Reloader: Share your wisdom please

Just some words about your powder measure when you get going. I have three of them and none of them change weights on me. I added little plastic wheels on the bolt head to make it easier to change the load. They're available at Lowe's and Home Depot in the hardware section with all the parts...
