I have a question about the howell gated conversion for the 1851 colt navy revolver. Does the gated piece just slide into the frame? or does it need gunsmithing to have it installed

I don't want it too look new, just to where it doesn't look like how it does now.

I know the safety is missing, kinda sucks that it does.

I recently got a hold of a SMLE that has been turned into a hunting type rifle, and I'm not liking how it looks. I'm going to restore it to how it originally looked, but I'm not sure about it since there's a hole in the receiver. Its a small hole, but it makes me feel like its unsafe too shoot...

The only rifle I own is a Mosin Nagant and I got use to that kick. I shot my uncles polish AK and the kick wasn't bad, just like a little nudge to me

I know that wasn't my question, and I knew about the 44sp being able to fire 44 russian. It was just a question about 44-40 and 44 russian.

The gun store that in the city has some sort of deal with cimarron and will have the gun or you can order it from them. also with the custom lifter, i think you can replace it with out it having a lot of problem. Shoot 44sp when i want to, switch them out for the 44 russian when i want too

well, im not in CAS or SASS. i love old western guns, i live in south dakota. and I probably won't be in CAS or SASS, I just want it to shoot around. I know that getting the .38sp would be the more cost effective round, but I want something that's powerful and close to the original round as...
