Get a Saiga, it's a much better firearm IMO than the SKS. I own both, so I can make this statement. They're both super reliable, but the SKS is pretty darn heavy, large (long), limited to 10 rd capacity (the aftermarket mags don't work worth a damn), and will cost you about the same as the...

I carry one, love it. Pretty much tore the 10 ring out on my CCW test @ 7y (yeah, I know...7 yards), but I can keep them under fist sized at 25. I can hide it in just about anything, including a T shirt/shorts. I use the Pierce pinky extension on my mags though
