I don't see any reason why not. I use foster slugs in a smoothbore semi and it works just fine. The only thing i can think of is don't use to tight of a choke. If using a smoothbore I use foster slugs. A lot of people use a rifled barrel with brenneke slugs that I hear you can get some...

I've drooled over the P227 in all its flavors too but sometimes wonder if it's that much better than the tried and true P220 for only 2 more rounds.

I would highly recommend the Galco concealable holster. I have carried my P01 in one for quite some time and it has held up very well and is considerable to boot. The one I have was designed for the Sig P228/229 but fit almost perfectly. I see that they now make one specifically for the P01...

If I remember correctly if you get a .327 mag it can also shoot the 32 long and magnum. Is that true? It almost looks like a 4" barrel is going to be the closest I'm going to come unless I luck across an older revolver in decent condition. I suppose I could look into having a barrel cut down...

I don't know that I'm completely set on 22, but probably set on at least 22 mag. I wouldn't mind going a little bit bigger, but 32 is a lot harder to find. Maybe the new M48 that S&W came out with again or a Charter or Taurus is going to be as close as I get. Hhmmm

I actually have a Bearcat (or at least I used to before my wife stole it:eek:) and it is a handy little revolver. I would really like something with a little bit more punch which is why I was thinking of the 22mag. Seems like that gives that little extra oomph that might come in handy...

Hope I didn't get anybody's hopes up too much :) I'm looking for a smaller "chore gun". Basically something that I can carry around and plink with or dispatch smaller pests (squirrels, rabbits, rats, possums, coons, maybe a fox, etc...) when necessary. My ideal would be a double action...

I have to put another vote in for CZ. Both the PCR and the P-01 can be had for well under your budget and are great handling guns. I have the P-01 but have often thought about getting a PCR as well. My wife has a glock 19 that she enjoys but my hands just seem to lock into all my CZ's so much...
