I guess I should clarify a bit. I've done enough parts replacement and hand-fitting to know what I'm getting into. I've completely disassembled and rebuild a couple factory 1911's too, just never built a new one completely from the ground up. Thanks for the warnings though!

I've been slowly buying up parts for a 1911. Nearly there, just need a few of the smaller pieces (pins, springs, ejector). All my parts are from Wilson Combat, so they should fit together no problem. I have a couple questions though... Should I take everything to a gunsmith to get fitted...
