Best mounts & rings for accurate deer rig??

Bag the Weavers. IME, they won't hold torque. TPS rings will tighten without turning your scope. I think Warne is a good ring. A one piece picatinney base bedded to your action properly, can do a lot to eliminate ring alignment problems. Torque in general is like 15 in lbs for ring...

Help me decide on a big-bore sixgun

I really like my Ruger Bisley 5.5" SA with adj sights in 45LC. I would like to find a conversion in 480 Ruger or one of the big Linebaugh calibers. For heavy calibers, 5" is probably as short as I would go. I like smooth grips and to let the gun recoil up in my hand. That movement takes...

    rings for a 460

I like the SSK 3 ring mount. It works great on my 375 JDJ.

Sighting in New Red Dot Scope

Not sure what you are asking, but I would try to just throw it on the AR and sight in at 25 yards. Then I would sight it in finally at 50 yards.

    .45acp poor handload accuracy

I would strongly suggest trying another bullet first. Usually bullets will be the largest factor. After that, I pressure tune. Maybe a different charge or even powder burm rate will help.

Help with the kel-tek 32 auto

Actually, I do hunt. Are you familiar with handgun hunting? Generally handgun hunters use large lead slugs which will go all the way through. . . .or Cape Buffal0 hunters. . .Large solids which go all the way through. In any marginal situation, good hunter choose penetration over expansion...

Help with the kel-tek 32 auto

FMJ all the way. They penetrate until they slow down and then tumble. FMJ is the only way to be sure they will exit. Ask any hunter. . .exit holes are the ones that bleed!

best scope in the 650.00 range

For a mid range hunting scope, I would love a Sightron SIIB 4 - 16 x 42. They have great coatings. Also, Burris Eurodiamond 3-10 x 40 would be a nice hunting scope IMO. I have the Burris XTR, but I think you would not like that weight and size.

Help with the kel-tek 32 auto

Love mine. It is easy to carry. Now, is a 32 enough? I don't know, but I prefer it to being without. A Keltec 32 goes in a lot of places nothing else will fit in. They also make a slighly bigger PF9 for about $300. Also a good small gun. They make a 380 too, but the slide doen't lock...

Looking for help with 375H&H accuracy problem.

Just a quick point, you could load bullets to the lands for testing, but I don't think you will find it is fixing your issue. With a heavy recoiling gun like that, I would first check my most experienced buddy's groups to mine with a box or 2 of factory fodder. Then, I would check the...

    Dual purpose shotgun?

First, a 18.5" short barrel and interchangible choke tubes are mutually exclusive terms as far as I have seen. So, that means custom. A custom tube would be more expensive than 2 barrels. In addition, the longer tube will add some benefit for clay bird shooting as has been said. Mossberg...

    Need advice on AR15 purchase

Well, let me throw this out there.. . I bought the standard Armalite M15A2. I loved it. It would shoot pretty consistent 1.5" 5 shot groups at 100 yards with me behind the trigger. This was completely stock. I thought, boy I want it to be super duper. I paid ~$700 or so to Compass Lake...
