My wife inherited a Colt Police Positive in .32 LC from her grandmother (courtesy the Chicago police circa 1940's). There were two unmarked boxes of ammo with the gun. I'm at work and I forget what the cartidges were marked but they are a known brand.
The gun's in mint condition and the ammo...
"The usual: Staying home to avoid the fun-crazed, and to rescue our pets if some dimwit flatlander sets the mountain on fire.
Even the "safe & sane" crap is banned up here, but there's always some jerk...
We DO get to watch all the surrounding valley communities fireworks displays from the...
Well I'm in CA and it's pretty much the only .223 choice.
Mine is a Ranch model, with a 4X scope (which I'm going to take off as I'm just as happy with the iron sights).
I'm going to be called a liar by the AR lovers/Mini-14 haters but truthfully it shoots 1.5" to 2.5" groups at 100yards...
I owned one for 3 years. It was stolen in 1989.
I bought it because it looked neat...esp with the stock folded and the handle up! The pump or semi-auto at the push of a button option was neat.
I don't recall ever failing to cycle a round in semiauto but I know you couldn't use light loads...
My wife and/or I always carry at home because:
1. We live on 22 acres and the nearest neighbor is almost a mile away.
2. We have a 2.5 yr old that knows the difference between a pistol and a shotgun and how they work. But he's 2.5 and can't control himself to be trusted with firearms...
My 629 is 13years old.
I started having that exact same problem last year.
I have about 10,000 rnds and I am very meticulous regarding cleaning. Everytime I would shoot, it would start binding after a few cyclinders. I would clean and brush under the extracter and that seemed to help for...
At night I have a Winchester 1300 leaning on the nightstand, the wife has her .357.
We're semi-remote and the occasional weirdo will wander up to our place to see what it is...an easy target for burglery (til they see my army of dogs that is). We don't have any neighbors to keep an eye on our...
Mmmm...
I have a Yugo SKS. One of the previous owners carved the crest from the Croation flag into the stock and the word Kemo. They also did some hand checkering. I've always wondered if Kemo was someones name.
Well, I'm in Calif. so I can't legally carry anything.
However, I usually do. If I ever had to use it, I would have to deal with the consequences.
Since I can't risk "printing" or EVER accidentally showing, I had to go SMALL.
That said, What I usually carry is a Junior Colt in...
I would never buy a gun for someone else. (wife and sons excluded)
I would never sell a gun other than via transer through an FFL.
I don't ever want John Law coming to be about a crime, accident or anything else that happens with a gun I bought or own that I sold to someone without an FFL...
