Glad to see 41 MAG leverguns in this thread. This is mine, a Marlin FG, took a 100 lbs whitetail doe with it last season using the old Winchester Supreme 240 grain Platinum Tip load.
Got my first 16ga, a single barrel Springfield around 1966, still like shooting and hunting with one today. Turkey, dove, quail, pheasant, and rabbit, all good game to use a 16 gauge on.
I agree, Case Knives once marketed a pocketknife named The Sidewinder. Snake names, model numbers, other fanciful names, really doesn’t matter as long as the revolver shoots accurately and dependably.
Thank you gentlemen! I don't care for synthetic stocks, either but I do have a few (AR15 and Ruger American) - guess there is an exception to most every rule.
The 41 Mag Blackhawk show above is the first one I have owned that came with factory plastic grips. I kept looking at them and decided they just didn't appeal to me, so I went fishing in my stash of parts and assorted junk. Came up with an older walnut set that fit great (another vintage NM...

I think it depends on what line stamps the brass. I have brand new brass, bought in the current plastic bags, that have the WIN headstamp and some that still uses the WW headstamp. Odessa
Are you sure it isn't a Sears Model 53? From your description it sounds like the Sears rifles from the mid-1960's which were essentially Winchester Model 70's in the push-feed design. If so a 22" barrel with a 1 in 10" twist for a 30-06 would be correct. If the rifle is based on the WIN M70...
DMK,
I have been a sales rep "down east" for the past 26 years, and travel the area extensively. While there is not an overabundance of public ranges there are enough to satisfy the need. You have been linked to the Dare County (Outer Banks) range above, moving south there is a nice range...
