I shoot a flintlock smoothbore. It is known as the Pennsylvania smoothrifle from Jim Chambers. It is a fabulous gun and an excellent shooter with the large siler lock and the 46 inch Longhammock barrel.
You can see the gun at: http://www.flintlocks.com/RK-07.htm

At the Walmart in my local town, there is an absence of all calibers of handgun ammo. Everytime I walk in there at look at the selection, there is usually a couple boxes of overpriced .45 acp. Probably the same ones that were there the last time.
There is no shortage of rifle rounds and...
I never recommend buying the pellets. One because pellets are 50 grains a piece, and some rifles will shoot better with a custom load of powder, say 85 or 90 grains. Working up a load is how you obtain your best accuracy.
Secondly ...the pellets are a ripoff. If you read the box ...the box of...
If you use a white backed target, too many holes confuses you where your gun is shooting when trying to sight in. The bullet holes in a target can also be a distraction not having a clean background.
If you come across the old strips of trator feed labels for the obsolete tractor feed...
I have about four 5 ounce jars of RIG I could let go of ......
I have used RIG on my stuff for years and it does a great job for keeping away rust. This is Ohiio ..... high humidity, everything is damp all summer ....everything is so damp here even the trees and rocks rust.
RIG has...
I was shooting a new Taurus revolver that looked like a 4 inch model 10. On the 2nd or 3rd cylinder of 38's, the frame cracked from the top of the strap at the hammer all the way down to the trigegr housing !! That was scary ...... Taurus pot metal guns .....
After that ...I swore off Taurus...
I have 5 or 6 original hydrashock bullets that were issued to the military (Air Force). They are loaded much like a wadcutter, with the face almost flush with the case mouth. They are alll lead and have the post in the middle. These rounds may be 15 or 20 years old now .... I keep them as a...
This is the age of speaking politically and gender correct. I was in the army during the end of the war in the 70's (the Southern U.S.) At that time they always designated clips were for pistols, and magazines were the for M-16 rifle. There was no confusion then as when someone wanted a clip, you...
The great thing about the snubby compared to the Kahr autos ..... The snubby doesn't have some weird backward frame safety that confuses you if up is safe or down is fire. Bad thing to try to remember when your life is in danger. The snubby doesn't have to burn up $100 worth of ammo in a 200...
I have to agree 100%. The light wheel guns have plenty of power for the rounds they shoot. I'm currently looking for a S&W M&P 360 at an affordable price, the 13 ounce .357. Versatile gun. I can shoot light weight loads, +P's or I can fill the cylinder with .357's. I had a Charter arms .44 pug...
I bought an old chromed Iver Johnson 'Young American' .22 at a flea market for 12 dollars. Carried it my tackle box for a long time as snake medicine.
Ohio Rusty ><>
I had a brand new Pug 44 last year. After 3 cylinders of Corbon hollow point ammo, the cylinder started havin lots of sloppy play back and forth, and front to rear. Maybe I just had a pistol that slipped thru the quality control cracks .... nevertheless I sold it asap.
I think Charter Arms is a...
The question is like asking do you want a Lexus or a Yugo ???
Dump the Rossi idea and get the Smith. Smith and Wesson have been making pistols since ..... 1888 ??? They have it down pat and their products are excellent. If you want a .357, S&W make lots of different models, and their re-sale...
