Quest for the "ideal for you" carry gun

I don't really care about printing. The majority of people don't pay close enough attention to notice an edge here and an odd bulge there. Capacity and ease of shooting is more important. I carry a Gen 5 Glock 17 in a Raven Concealment Eidelon with a V Defense Group large wedge in appendix or...

    CZ Scorpion gun smiths?

    Where in Ohio are you?

Rented a bunch of handguns: VP9, Rhino, Coonan, PPQ, CZ75, etc.

When I rented a Rhino, I was amazed. The recoil was still there, but it all went into your arms instead of flipping the muzzle. .38s were a blast to shoot from it.

    Cutting down a single-shot

26" over all, not sure of how it's measured. Choke? What choke?

The recoil is part of the fun!

    Cutting down a single-shot

Mine is legal when measured accurately. If you're worried about not getting g treated legally, then what makes you think a half inch is going to make a difference?

    Cutting down a single-shot

Don't listen to these old girly men! Do it! I cut mine down to 18.5 inches. It came out to 18.25 after dressing it up. I cut the LOP down to 12 inches. It's a fun gun to shoot. Especially with 3" slugs! It is surprisingly accurate with slugs, if you know what your doing.

anyone been to Williamsburg Va. lately?

You might be able to find someone to make a hand forged barrel, but I highly doubt it. If you did, it would be very expensive. There are a few guys in my general area that have hand rifling machines. So that would be easier to get. There are some outstanding builders out there, but if you...

    S&W M&P Shield.....and M&P 45c - It was a good week :)

Who cares what gun is the most pocketable? Pocket carry is THE worst way to carry a gun. Sent from my DROID BIONIC using Tapatalk 2

    S&W M&P Shield.....and M&P 45c - It was a good week :)

Glock HAS to be working on it. I cant imagine they would pass up this market entirely. There is just too much money in it. I havr to admit, i like the looks of the Shield and am looking forward to fondling one. I hate the trigger on the M&P, but i think i hate the trigger on my PF9 more...

    RIA 9mm 1911?

I had a RIA CS in .45. It would feed winchester PDX1 230gr reliably. That particular load has a pretty rounded profile to the bullet. I carried it for a year or so, but had to sell it. (Life) My friends who are more knowledgeable than I in the 1911 were very impressed with the workmanship...

Do you plan on getting rid of your guns before you die?

I'm 30. I don't really have a collection per se. A handful of basic self defense guns, a muzzle loader i built myself, and a muzzle loader a very close family friend gave me. There is no greater honor than an elderly friend showing up, out of the blue, at your door with a muzzle loader that...

Whats your age group, and what do you carry?

29 I carry a pf9 most frequently. Other times, an officer size 1911. I prefer the .45 but it's hard for me to conceal with my frame in the summer. I tried a j-frame, but it was just uncomfortable and awkward to carry.

    Kel-Tec P-32, range report

Any one know if Fiocchi makes an EMB. ( expanding mono block) in. 32? That would probably work well. In 9mm it gives good expansion and penetration in a 91 or 92 grain bullet.
