Proposed ban on all Ivory sales

My understanding of the present law, is that if it has art work on it is not covered by the possession law. I don't know if this is true. My Walrus tusk has art on it and also the tag from the Alaska Game Dept. I think it should be legal to own. Al

    Texas Ranger Museum

Texas Ranger Gun I worked on a deceased Tx. Ranger's gun back in the 70's, that is the first one I've seen with the trigger guard cut out like the one pictured. It was also nickel plated and 32-20 cal. He gave it to a retired ships capt. friend who brought it to me. Al

What do you carry your stuff to the range in?

Range Gear I carry everything in a Red Radio Flyer wagon, just like when I was a kid. Works great and carries everything. My wife bought it for me for a Christmas present a couple of years ago. Before that I used a Stanley stackable rolling tool box. Wagon is better. Al

    Rebarrel a Mauser 98

Mauser Rebarrel Make sure whoever does the barrel job that the barrel is made up tight against the ring behind the threads. Not against the front of the action ring. I've seen some that were done like that and the did not shoot well. The best support is against the rear ring. Al

    Bedding a Rifle

Bedding Rifle All good suggestions. I use modeling clay on the bottom of the action where the trigger pin holes and on the bolt release slot. Keeps the glass bedding from getting in them. Al
