I’ve now been in 4 shows with negligent discharges. This show and 3 at Tulsa. Not good. Tie wraps are good but are usually poorly done. Tying a bolt handle closed doesn’t prevent it from firing. The OGCA are still the most safety conscious shows I attend.
I jumped into the 5.7 platform with an S&W 57 and a Ruger LC carbine in 5.7. The little Ruger carbine is far handier than an AR pistol for a travel gun. Reloading has been an interesting adventure but is going well.
I stopped doing primer pocket cleaning 40 years ago. Not doing 1000 yard shooting so not really worth it. I always clean my brass. Wet tumble if really dirty or range brass. First time through rifle brass gets trimmed and annealed.

I have two of their boxes (most of what we’re talking about here are not safes, don’t kid yourself). Moved one twice….real easy. Will be moving the other one in the next couple years.
I did something very similar to get my old metal lathe back up the stairs. Used the winch on my SXS in the back yard to pull it up and out the back door. Four of us carried it down 40 year’s ago.
