    Good starting load.

Do you also use 3f in the pan, or 4f?

    Good starting load.

I know. I'm right handed but when I saw it I had to have it.🤣

I needed another old .22 like a hole in the head....

Very nice! I love the older 22 rifles.

    Good starting load.

I purchased a flintlock a few years back from a LGS. As near as I can tell, it was a custom build in .50 cal. The underside of the barrel is marked Getz Beaverton PA. It has a 3 digit serial number. I believe it was made by Don Getz. The markings were done with a pencil engraver? Not sure who...

    CVA Muzzle loaders

If I haven't put a deer in the freezer, I use an inline. Otherwise it's a T/C Hawken I built from a kit 45 years ago, mlm or a custom built flintlock that I nearly stole from a local gun shop that took it in on trade and wanted it gone.

One More Sixgun! Colt Detective Special.

Mine is 1957 vintage with the smaller grips. I've had it for around 10 years now and it's been a great revolver. Nice pick up on your part, it looks like a gem! Happy shooting!

    We all have favorites

Mine would be pretty much anything N Frame. Would love to land a Model 25 in .45Colt in either 4" or 5" barrel, if they even made a 5".

Tell me why I shouldn’t get a Browning BLR in .308.

    I'll be darned if I know.😂

    45-70 Factory Ammo Question

I used to hunt with an original Trapdoor carbine, 1879 vintage. It worked fine with the factory Remington 405 gr. load. Took my first and only bear with it in 1980.

    Ankle Holster

For a seated draw I have always been partial to a crossdraw or a shoulder rig if I'm wearing a suit or some kind of jacket. For me, much faster than an ankle rig

How can I remove an invector plus choke that won’t budge? Tried a lot of tool but still no deal. Any solvent ideas that could help? Need a miracle .

The best product I have ever used is called Krax-it. It is made by Hapco. I recently used it on an inline breechplug that has been stuck for several years. Sprayed it, let it sit for a while, sprayed it again and let it sit overnight. It turned right out the next day.

    Shield 45 or XDs 45

I own an XDs in 45 and it has been rock solid. I also own a Shields in .40, it has also been rock solid. Between the two, I give a slight edge in favor of the XDs, it feels slightly better in my hand and I have a bias towards .45acp. If you can, try to shoot both before you buy, choose what...

    38-55 question

When buying factory ammo, do your homework. 38-55 requires a .377 diameter bullet. Many of the ammunition makers use .375 as it also works in the .375 Winchester. Older Winchester ammo was made with .377.
