Thanks for the replies folks, the infomation is valued. I was already leaning towards the Big 10. I really like my Winchester as it dusts upland birds and rabbits real well. Don't really want another 12 but didn't want to spend the extra bucks on a 10 and ammo if it didn't help. Jim
Hunted goose (Canada goose) for the first time this year, and my 12 ga. Winchester 1300 Turkey with a 22"bbl was kinda lacking. Modified choke and 3" BB was the setup and hunted over decoys. My gun has factory camo so finding a longer bbl is slim, besides the wife said go ahead and get another...
cpt-t The CO-2 decharger you asked about works pretty good, I keep one in my shooting bag when in the sticks or in my range box. The gas cylinder is good for one use/decharge and then is best to use a new cylinder. Be sure to point the bore in a safe direction when dechargeing as the ball exits...
Sure 00 buck will pass through, but depending on how far away from the door you are you may blow the door off the hinges and allow the punk(s) inside. Not to mention the muzzel flash and percussion( can you say FLASH and BANG) you will suffer. Not to mention several 30 caliber round balls...
Been shooting R/H bolts all my life, just reach over with my left. Bought a Rem 700 L/H and sold it after two years, just could'nt get use to a L/H bolt. Jim
Got a Sears 410 bolt, that I bought in 69 at the age of nine. My uncle paid me to pick cherries in his garden. I have not shot it in years but was great for small game/birds. Jim
After shooting, Wiped down with a lighyly oiled cloth after a day in the woods if not shot, and removed from the safe at least every 3 months for inspection and cleaning or atleast a wipe down. Jim
