I went with the XL because the standard grip module barely fit in my hand and I like a longer slide. Rides good AIWB and it is very shootable. My only gripe is that the trigger has a really mushy break.

Sometimes, but also mostly wrong. I run adjustable gas on all of my rifles and all of my rifles have CLE chambered Krieger or Larue chambered Lothar barrels. Adjustable gas is a pretty nice feature.

I don't own any of the options you listed but I can tell you that regardless of what you choose, you're more than likely to find things you want to change on the one you do buy. Hard to go wrong with an Aero though, and that's what I would recommend.

All good options but I'm not sure how many, if any, barrel manufacturers would install your barrel. A pre-fit from McGowan or NSS would be your best bet and a 'smith probably wouldn't charge you 100 bones to install it.

More than likely a central nervous system or autonomic plexus hit in my opinion, those will ragdoll anything from big game to humans.

Don't sweat it, most factory branded match ammo is garbage. If you hand load a 175/178gr HPBT or ELD/AMax with 42-45gr of Varget it ought to do you right. Lovely rifle.

@Airborne Falcon I would highly recommend the 300 over the six five. I started a thread last year and then everything went to hell, but I've got bullets and powder now and I can actually do more in depth load testing.
